Nigel is a social entrepreneur, with a passion for helping the youth achieve their fullest potential. Football is his passion, both as a player and administrator. He has played first team football for his alma mater Pennsylvania State University between 1979 and 1981, Black Aces FC from 1981 to82; and was Chairman of Rio-Dairibord FC in 1984 to 85 and the Black Aces FC between 1998 and 2000.
Nigel is also a strategic management, marketing, communications, and international development specialist; with over 25 years’ multicultural experience in managing manufacturing operations, public sector investment programs, and business development in diverse economic sectors in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, USA, Australia, and Central America.
His professional career includes being Area Director of Marketing (Africa) for ITT Sheraton Hotels, Regional Manager (Harare) for Dairibord Zimbabwe, and proprietor of a marketing and communications company Munyati Consulting, He has conducted hotel sales and marketing training for over 200 hotel management personnel in Africa and Asia; and coordinated education training and development workshops for over 800
Education practitioners in Africa and the United States. Nigel co-founded the Zimbabwe International Film Festival Trust, (est. 1997) to support the development of the Zimbabwe film industry; and Aces Youth Soccer Academy (est. 2001) to promote youth football development.
Nigel holds a BSc – Food Science (Pennsylvania State University, USA) and a Master’s in Business Administration – (Leeds University, Leeds, UK)
Nigel sits on several boards including:-
- Being the Founder & Director of Aces Youth Soccer Academy (Est. 2001),
- He is a former board member for the Zimbabwe Football Association
- Board Member (2010-2013), Zimbabwe Council For Tourism (2010-2012,
- Matetsi Private Game Lodges – Board Member (1996-1999)
- and was one of the founding trustees for the Fish Eagle Trust (1996-1997).
